  1. Is Urantia a religion?

The word Urantia refers to our planet, Earth. There are long time readers of the book that have made it their religion, and there are some churches that use the book in its ministry, but there are no formal religions that call itself Urantia.The book itself  maintains that true religion is one's personal relationship with God and discourages creating another "ism". People from many religions embrace the teachings in the book and  still remain in good standing in their denomination, often supporting their traditional faiths through insights gleaned from The Urantia Book.

2. When and where do Urantia Book readers get together?

The study group is the main social avenue for Urantia Book readers getting together. Urantia Book study groups are usually weekly meetings hosted privately at a home. How the group is run is decided by the host or by consensus of those that attend. Some groups are very study oriented, while others are more social events. Urantia Book society meetings such as held by UBLA are also often held regularly. Annual summer study sessions and conferences are  also put on by organizations such as The Urantia Book Fellowship and The Urantia Foundation.


3. Do I have to be a member of a Urantia organization to attend the meetings and conferences?

No. Anyone can attend.

4. Where can I get a copy of  The Urantia Book?

The Urantia Book is available in most major bookstores, also online at Amazon.com. You can also read the book for free online at the The Urantia Book Fellowship and The Urantia Foundation web sites.
